So apparently Marian Dora is a doctor when he's not making movies. Imagine being an average German citizen and finding out that your physician made Melancholie Der Engel.

This is one of those movies that astounds me that actors are willing to do this. Like, you know they got paid near nothing to do this… and they still did. Beyond my level of understanding.

The color palette in this movie looks fucking disgusting. It works.

Nah, I don’t care if your art is a revolutionary masterpiece, I don’t fuck with animal cruelty. Animals don't deserve to be brought into our mess. Totally inexcusable, and one of my biggest gripes with horror in general. Sometimes it really sucks being a lifelong horror fan.

A movie made by weirdos for weirdos. I'm glad I can to read reviews like this and save myself the self-torture of watching it myself. Pushing it this far beyond the limits of good taste does not a good movie make!!

I hate this movie to an unimaginable extreme, for me it is Marian Dora trying to talk about nihilism being as repulsive as possible and at the same time trying to be artistic putting aesthetics just because until this... thing is longer than two hours, not to mention the real animal cruelty, which I find inexcusable in an era where it comes to integrating animal rights in the audiovisual media. Anyway thank you Jonjo Lyons for the sacrifice, now I do feel like I can rightfully hate it. I prefer Jorg Buttgereit and his Der Tödesking a thousand times more.
