Thanks for this! I need to run lots of wired connections, which the starlink router does not support, so this was super helpful!

What is the best of this two bypass mode using our own router or using the starlink router?

Does this still work? Looking to get a starlink working at my hotel to put out internet for a bit while the regular internet gets fixed for a month or two

Installed Starlink 30 days ago(9/22), also using us cellular air card both through edgerouter~x for failover, then 4 satellite orbi Wi-Fi network. Minimal issues and very functional for zoom, gaming, Netflix. Thank you Elan as we previously had very poor internet service.

Having an issue setting up a tp ax73 so it works with gen 1 Starlink. I’m being asked in the static IP form for for a Default Gateway address. What would that be or how do I find it?

My starlink was working just fine for about 3 weeks. Then it just went off and my app states disconnected , and a red box below says non starlink router. Have not heard back from starlink support in 5 days. Wonder if replacing my router would fix my issue

I have the same tplink your using but I cannot get it to add the entry. It looks like it already has an entry in the table for it. Seems like stats are working too. Maybe I’m good.

Hi I have starlink with the big black brick that has the grey wire that goes outside to the dish, and the white wire that goes to my modem.. I am trying to use it with my own router, but I bought the TP link switch, and i thought you could just plug the white cable into that but it did not send a signal.. Do i need something in between the starlink white wire to the router..or is my switch even going to work, mabe i need the Tp link Router i'm looking at on amazon that is similar.. are you plugging direct into your router with the white cable? or is there something in between going on. Someone else who uses starlink suggested this switch, so i'm a bit confused. I just want to be able to eliminate wireless in my house, do i need to get the Tp Link Router instead?

Need help configuring my Linksys router and bypassing the Starlink router using the eternet adapter. What is a good source to find all the info I need to configure it including being able to still access the Starlink app for stats and speed test?
RogerDiotte (4 years ago (edited))
Sounds like the only thing you can do is run your TPLink Deco in AP Access Point Mode and have the Starlink (or whatever router you choose that supports STatic Routes) to be the main Router at the main entrance point (ethernet line from dish).

Hi Roger, Mike from Australia. I’m about to install Starlink. My Deco M9 mesh apparently can’t do Static Routing, is there anyway around this to still get stats ?
Hello Roger...

Are you sure you need to do this if you don't use the Starlink router? I have a TP-Link S4 mesh router and I get stats when I type in the Starlink IP.

I am trying to set up an Orbi RBR 750 mesh router to be able to see Starlink statistic page and I'm not having any luck. I have tried multiple static router combinations with no success. Anyone able to help? Thank you

Roger my dish is now mounted on a pole on the Apex of the house. I have no obstructions and it is working very well. I am very happy with Starlink.

If there's an Al Brennan that posted here it doesn't show up in here for some reason but I saw the question on my notifications? Anyways try and respond again if your still wanting some help!
