Most of our planet has never been seen. Below a thousand meters the sunlight gives out completely and the water turns to permanent black — a place called the midnight zone, where the pressure crushes and the things that live there have never needed a face you'd recognize.
The Midnight Zone goes into that dark. The trenches we stopped exploring, the sounds no one can explain, the wrecks and weapons sunk on purpose, the creatures we've only ever half-seen. Every story is real, and every one of them is stranger than the fiction built to scare you.

I don't think that the experiment was destroyed at all; I think that they learned exactly what happens to a carcass at that depth. Just because someone expects a certain result doesn't mean it was a failure.

They dropped a pig in the Deep Sea... What happened next will shock you! Nature happened nobody is shocked, and it was ok to drop the pig in the sea. Only problem now is, They have been coming out of the Sea in search of Bacon, Because nothing is better than baby back ribs.
