This music conveys the exact experience of a panic attack. Probably because panic attacks can make you feel like you are drowning (At least from my experience). Both experiences put you in fight or flight mode because of a perceived threat (one where you are fighting to stay alive, the other where you are fighting out of fear of going crazy or losing control. The only difference is that others can see threat, but in the other case they can’t). For panic attacks despite the threat not being seen physically by others, the threat and terror feels very real to someone who is experiencing it.
