L J Whitney Houston and The Notorious B.I.G. are two of the music icons inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame which premiered on HBO and HBO Max Saturday (8 EST/PST), in a two-hour special that pays tribute to the eclectic class of 2020, which includes Whitney Houston, Notorious B.I.G., Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, T. Rex and the Doobie Brothers. Houston's induction, which closed out the special, was unsurprisingly moving, as Alicia Keys describes her "beautiful friendship" with the incomparable singer, calling her "the greatest voice of all time." L J 🎤🎵 Hey, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, where are the Black women? Whitney Houston’s iconic rendition of “I Will Always Love You” reached 1 billion views on YouTube last month, making her the first solo artist from the 1990s to hit the milestone. Even years after Houston’s tragic death in 2012, her music and influence resonates across generations. Houston will be among six performers, including The Notorious B.I.G., to be celebrated as the newest members of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Stay tuned for updates! She looks like she's not even trying, like she could just roll out of bed and belt this out anytime. What an amazing talent she had.

They should play this rendition during the 250th anniversary celebration. It remains the greatest version ever recorded, and would be a beautiful tribute to her incredible legacy. After it returned to No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 following 9/11, she donated all of her royalties from the re-release to support firefighters and the victims.

She showed up wearing a running suit and headband. She does not need any theatrics or dress up... She is a legend.

My brother was dying of cancer and all he could talk about was this performance by Whitney Houston. For him, this was one of the greatest performances ever (of the Stars Spangle Banner) delivered.
