That was actually his breakthrough performance which is why the audience looks so in awe of his voice, it was the first time they had heard him sing and they immediately fell in love with him. After this he was basically catapulted into fame.

Sinatra was in love with Jose Jose’s voice... He invited him to make a duet but it wasnt possible because Jose Jose’s record label didnt allow him.

The artist himself, Jose Jose, said that, after that day, NOBODY EVER sang that song the way he sang it that day... He said that not even him sang that song the way he sang it that day.

As a Mexican whenever i see a foreigner reacting to jose Jose and loving it and praising his voice it makes me happy to know that music doesn't have barriers at all and can be enjoyed by anyone
