Description
Sandra and Lamar are semi-retired sixty-somethings enjoying life and staying young by bicycling, hiking, backpacking, traveling, and photography. We jokingly say we are spending our grandkid's inheritance but truthfully, we hope to live a long time and go out like two bugs hitting a windshield. We met in our mid-fifties and one of our first dates was bicycling on the Silver Comet Trail and hiking to the top of Stone Mountain. Those who know Lamar said it was Sandra's hands-on job interview! From our honeymoon that included camping in the Redwoods & Yosemite and a week long bicycle tour in Colorado, to our recently completed Camino Santiago on the French Route for our 13th anniversary, our lives been punctuated with beautiful journeys and city jaunts, many of which we share on this channel through video and slideshow clips. We hope you will enjoy our videos, share your comments, and subscribe to be notified of future travels with Lamar & Sandra.

My plan had changed . I will spend 5 days in Burgos, then bypass the Meseta, train to Leon and another 4 days in leon. Then onward toward Santiago

I'm going with my sister next Apr/May. We also intend to use hotels instead of alburgues, but do not want a fixed schedule so will avoid a tour service and book our own rooms as we go. However, your trip looked wonderful and I'm glad it worked so well for you.

Outside of Italy, Spain is the first roman province of Europe and the world. So civilization is normal in Spain.

Question: The little pics of the elevations and distances, are they from a guidebook? We too booked the Superior Collection with CaminoWays because it is a Camino, significant birthday, and anniversary.
