This is still in my opinion one of the greatest comic book movie scenes of all time. It perfectly captures who Peter Parker is as a person. He was 100% ready to die for those people. Heโs a true hero.

I first watched this in the theater in 2004 when I was only 7.

The fact he passes out the exact moment he knows they are safe shows that he was desperately trying to stay conscious while everyoneโs lives were on the line.

No enhanced suit, no AI walking him through anything, no high tech glasses, no Nick Fury, no Iron Man, no help. Just grit, heart, will, and his own strength. Hopefully Tom Hollandโs Spider Man gets here someday.

Two things that made this scene one of the most powerful and emotional:

I know people love to make fun of Tobey's screams and facial expressions in this scene but you gotta realize that its the most realistic way, There's no way you're stopping a train with webs while keeping a straight face while making a few grunts

Anybody else kinda tear up when you see all the people universally agreeing not to ever speak of seeing him without his mask? Something about that moment just feels beautiful. God Tobey is still the best Spidey. Brought so much emotion to the character.

tobey got a lot of flack for his faces but honestly, the amount of emotionally intense, physically intensive things the character has gone through, i believe tobey really was spot on with his performance conveying what peter had to do/go through

The moment when those normal people standing between Spidey and Doc Ock, we never see that moment again in any superhero movie. That's why this is still best Spiderman movie ever, for me. It's heartwarming, and in someway it encourage a heroic part inside us.
