To be completely honest, the movie only has two of the Carlson brothers. The third, jack, was playing for the Edmonton Oilers at the time so they had a teammate, Dave hansen, come along to play the third Hanson brother.

The best fights were with each other. Also, they were unbelievable baseball players.

Two Carlson brothers in the movie, Steve and Jeff. Jack Carlson got called up to the WHA during filming. Dave Hanson played the third brother, so they used the name Hanson Brothers.

Jack Carlson was in the WHA playoffs with Edmonton at the time of the movie…not the NHL.

Goes to show ya, sometimes the actual factual truth of reality in life is more impressive than any writer making a movie could ever develop. From the second one sees the Hanson brothers trashing the soda machine, ya know these three are going to be the real stars of the film.... Paul Newman, basically was just the straight guy in the comedy.
