Description
I've had the honor of working with some of the greatest musicians in the world, including Will Owsley and Eric Dover.
In 1980, I saw 14-year-old Will Owsley play in a local band competition. We became close friends and formed a band. We began playing at Brothers Bar and got to know some of the bands that came through. Our favorite was a band called Baghdad. In 1986, the drummer and guitarist left and Will and I joined the band. In '87, we got to open for The Producers (one of our fav bands).
That summer, Will asked me to go with him to Nashville, but I didn't go. I've regretted that decision my whole life.
We kept in touch and, in 2009, were talking about starting our own production company. Will had taken me to Vince Gill and Amy Grant's house. I was really excited about the future. Sadly, it was all shattered when Will took his own life on April 30th, 2010.
The greatest years of my life were the ones playing music with Will.
