Description
From Hollis, Queens to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, RUN DMC blazed a trail of hip-hop excellence, busting through ceilings, breaking down doors and making history every step of the way. Joseph “RUN” Simmons, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels and Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell were the first rap group to earn gold and platinum awards from the RIAA, the first to be nominated for a Grammy Award and the first to grace the cover of Rolling Stone.

Love the symbolism - tearing down the wall separating rock and rap. So much fun.
