I have zero interest in having my books graded. A graded book locked up in an unopenable case is no better than just a picture of the comic.

I buy graded comics I want to display. I usually only buy them if they are 10$ above raw price.

I think one of the biggest takeaways you point out is that selling raw instead of getting it graded is a legit option. Time, cost, and risk of devaluing are big factors. For everyone submitting New Avengers #7 today, what happens when it turns out that what we saw in the Dr. Strange 2 trailer was let's say Council of Kang and not the Illuminati? So great points overall.

As usual, awesome content. Stabbing to me really comes down to keeping the book safe and stable and having a Graded book that I know exactly what Grade it is regardless of market fluctuations. If it's a 9.8 or a 3.0, if it's Graded, that's the grade it is.

I have alot of minor keys in perfect condition that are worth 120+ in a 9.8 but significantly drop off below that. I’m thinking I’ll sell raw just because the risk isn’t worth it

I just discovered you, dude. Thoroughly appreciate the logical and mathematical based presentation. Your discussion directly addressed several issues I'm currently facing. Keep it up!

I’ve been trying to sell lots of pristine Bronze Age Batman. They look untouched. Multiple ones sell for $100+ graded, I’m asking $130 for the lot. No interest. $80 for the lot. No interest. So I’ll have them graded, and make hundreds. The person bought and sleeved them immediately, they look new. You have to give them away raw.

These grading companies don't charge by the bulk do they? They charge that $59 for each one

I just prefer to buy slabbed books. Cuts out the cost, shipping and wait time.
