I hate they killed him off before we ever got to really know the character.

Lee died on purpose. Sheridan made a statement in that pilot, he literally said that nobody is safe, not even the next in line Dutton. He did a similar thing when Dan Jenkins got killed by the next villains.

I agree. Lee was killed off to soon and rarely spoken about. They did the same thing in 1923 by killing off John in E3. What got me on John's death, is it didn't show much of a reaction from his son Jack, seeing he was also taking care of his bride to be who was also shot.

Lee's character was jus proof no matter who you are death doesn't care it just happens..

I only just realised that Lee's actor was in Taylor Sheridan's other show, Lioness. I know Sheridan uses the same actors between his shows but he just looks so different between them both

The others was glad=more screen time, don't forget it is a cowboy soap opera, they can change actors by having a hospital screen and bandages taken off to reveal the actor who is playing the lead.

They could replace Kevin Costner with Samuel Jackson or maybe someone from star trek.
