the water flow on the fuselage is only in the center, not on the wings; so it is superimposed to a cylindical object. (missile) hit pause just at the start.

turbine engines mix AIR w/ fuel to creat the fire - which expands and turns the turbine wheels to create thrust.... really hard to make fire under water.

well, after the airplane gone, the smoke keps "expanding", so it's not backwards... but the beggining, the water going up, it's kinda of fake..

i saw the real clip on TV once its really a missile comming from a submarine but they did a great job switching it to look like an airplane

Frame by frame I can clearly see the image overlay. Upon exiting the water the wings leave no trace.

Besides, have you ever seen such massive flames from the back of a jet? Afterburners are much smaller in scale. But powerful.

I am no expert, but that looks like an underwater launch of an ICBM with a plane superimposed to make it look cool.
